Christmas Mini Session, Family Photography, with the W Family
As some of you may know, this was my very first holiday season in the Washington DC and Northern Virginia area. I decided that it would be the perfect time to offer Limited Edition Holiday Portrait Sessions. I have learned that the weather in Prince William County can be extremely unpredictable and cold in November and December so I decided to utilize my studio location in Woodbridge Virginia and create a Winter Wonderland of my own. I rushed down to Hobby Lobby near the Potomac Mills Mall and caught their amazing 50% off holiday decor sale. After giving them all my coins, I left with 2 carts full of beautiful decorations. All that was left was to wait for Amazon to deliver my new Christmas Trees and the materials to Flock them. For whatever reason, I decided to DIY my trees this year and I opted for two beautifully flocked Christmas Trees. I'll post a DIY and video of how I flocked the trees.
With a little creativity, I created the perfect holiday photography setup and wanted to share a few of my favorite photos from my session with the W Family.
Mayor W reached out to me and we immediately got on the phone for a consultation to make sure I would be a good fit for him and his family. Once he was on the books we did our consultation and planned out his family session. Since he has a large family we decided on adding in two pops of color instead of just red. I love how the older guys opted for a plum color, while the little guy wore red.
I just love how these siblings coordinated their colors. Plum, black and gray can create a festive look and work perfectly for Christmas mini session photos.
The Mr. opted for plum and gray and the Mrs. opted for red and black.
